An intuition born from hypnosis. An object designed in France. Another way to meet your inner world.
Our story2017 — 2026
01 · The intuition
Eyes closed. A world opens.
There are moments when perception changes its texture. On the edge of sleep, in a daydream or under hypnosis, images take on a different presence. Attention shifts. The inner world becomes almost a landscape.
Healthcare professional and hypnosis expert Brice Battung developed Dream Machine from this fascination: understanding states of consciousness and giving people a way to explore them.
In 2017, the project began with a question: how could this knowledge of human experience become an instrument to discover at home?
Our approach pays a respectful tribute to the DREAMACHINE, the light artwork conceived by Brion Gysin and Ian Sommerville in the early 1960s to be experienced with closed eyes. We seek to carry this artistic intuition forward: opening a path to the inner world through light.
02 · The encounter
A sensitivity. A shared vision.
In 2019, when the Dream Machine company was created, Kevin Finel joined the project. Director of the ARCHE hypnosis school and founder of a cognitive science research centre, he shares this interest in the resources of the mind.
Their encounter brings together hypnosis practice, scientific curiosity and a conviction: inner exploration can become an accessible, sensory and personal experience.
Dream Machine grows at this intersection. An artistic vision informed by neuroscience, concerned both with what we perceive and with how to make that experience possible.
03 · The design
Giving the invisible a form.
To become an object, this vision meets the work of Strasbourg designer Alix Videlier. French design and French engineering give tangible form to an experience that remains deeply personal.
A curve, a balance, an angle: every choice shapes the encounter with light. The steel structure and the choice of durable materials express a desire to create an instrument that can accompany us over time.
Two years of research and development connect drawing with technology. The aim is to bring together a simple gesture, a precise object and a rich experience.

04 · The care
Attention to detail. At every scale.
We approach states of consciousness as a sensitive material. With an artisan’s attention, an artist’s freedom and a desire to understand. Our aim is to open the conditions for an experience.
This care must extend through manufacturing. To make Dream Machine available to the public, the object moves onto production lines guided by high standards and demanding assembly requirements.
The spirit of fine craftsmanship is a way of looking at every detail: design, materials, light and their harmony. One intention, from the first sketch to the instrument you welcome into your home.
Dream Machine · On the assembly line
From design to manufacturing
An idea is only the beginning. It needs a physical form.
Assembly is where the vision becomes tangible. Design meets production gestures, components and the precision needed to create an instrument for everyday life.
